3.79 “fixes” issues with account uploads. Why not just use Windows?

It doesn’t start at all, so I just reinstalled v3.78. I installed with Playonlinux with the same settings as the other versions. I tried the portable version and it works fine but I’d rather use playonlinux. What functionality do I lose if I stick with 3.78? I haven’t noticed any difference so far.

Did you change something major? It no longer works under wine in linux.

Hi, I love this app, it’s wonderful, though, I thought it would have been a great feature being able to immediatly move the screeshot taken into a special album on my imgur account, is this already possible ? Am I missing it, because I see that you can select an album but it still doesn’t upload in it.

3.79 version isn’t starting on my Win XP SP3.
Back to 3.77 which works a lot better on XP(90% of the time) but not at all on Win 10.

Still not working. Every upload gives a 404 not matter what I do. I’ve used the API myself with no issue. Written bots that use it. What’s the issue your end?

Using that tool for over than year already, and lately I keep getting my images being uploaded on imgur and stuck on 99%, the message “Sending picture (137,40 KB)… name of file” remains in status bar of MyImgur forever. Sometimes it gets resolved if I logout, close MyImgur, open, login and retry.
Before december 2015, it was happening usually when Imgur was down. But lately it happens no matter on Imgur being down. Please, tell me if it’s possible to fix somehow, this is the only screenshots tool I use and I would like to keep using it like before. Windows 7 user here.

Continually receiving the “imgur request failed, re-auth recommended” message.

I try to auth, and it says it’s worked but it won’t upload anything. I select the portion of the screen and then nothing happens.

Usually when this happens to me (seems to be a recent development) it’s plain old stuck like that. What seems to do the trick is to hit the “Refresh User Data” button as it will force it to log back into your account and pull through the API. This seems to get things running again, sometimes for just the one picture and sometimes for a good while.

Hello admin. First of all, thanks for making this program, it’s been a really useful one to me for quite a while now.

Second, the person you’re replying to and few other people who have the same issues with wrong capture area being used than the one selected – I ran into this issue too and I’ve figured out it’s caused by the screen scaling of Windows 10: http://i.imgur.com/bUnmvl1.png
If it’s set to 100%, the program works as it should, but if you set it higher than that, the program doesn’t take that into consideration and still perceives the screen as if the scaling is 100%.

MyImgur frequently gives me the “imgur request failed, re-auth recommended” error. Actually, all of the time. It’s error 404. Is there anything *I* can do to fix it? Please, this is my favorite screenshot software, I’d hate to be forced to change it to some ad-infested alternative.

I think it was a problem with the skin, as the guy below mentioned. I deleted my settings.xml and DnD works again.

One other thing, it seems to add multiple notification entries in the Notifications and Actions control panel (modern). I have around 50 there now.

I was thinking just change it the link, but if it’s possible to upload via SSL that would be great to add as well (if it’s not too much trouble of course)

I’ve been using MyImgur for a while, it’s an amazing tool.

But I noticed it’s lacking https support. Could you add this? Instead of copying link to clipboard after upload, just change the link from http to https!

It uploads a completely wrong unselected area.

Hi, whenever I use the Take a screen capture (Area), it projects the wrong part of the selection into the picture. It goes up further than I selected, as well as cutting away from the bottom and right side.

I get the following error every time I delete an entry in the history log.

Since installing Windows 10, MyImgur doesn’t seem to work so well. I tried reinstalling it but get the same problem. When capturing an area of a screen only part gets captured i.e. a smaller area than I wanted to capture.

Please fix the “imgur request failed” please. Your application is cool but sometimes it’s working… and frequently no. x)

I’m constantly getting a “404 request aborted on timeout” error across multiple systems. Any idea what’s wrong?

Whenever I find an app like this I always check it out at VirusTotal.com. I was very pleased that your app seems to have no signs of any malware, so I’ve gone ahead and up-voted you on that site. I hope you’ll continue to make improvements to this great app!

Just recently found out about his wonderfull app, but I’m facing some issues.
About 10-15 % of my images are not uploaded well: the message in the ballon pops out and sais: error during uploading pic error :0, or request time error 404.
Maybe you know how to fix that?

Ummm, I might be doing something wrong, but the app keeps saying “new version”, when I press “yes” it takes me to this site, and I can only download the version I already have installed… So what now?

I have found out what is causing MyImgur not to sign in; it’s this program called Networx which I have been using to keep track of my data usage. I must turn it off to use MyImgur, which kinda sucks because I don’t like having to turn off a program that help me keep track of data usage. I have no idea why or how Networx was interfering with MyImgur.

Just reinstalled it 2x times… had to delete files from “roaming” folder… now it works.

It was working fine for a while, even though i had Avast running… I deactivated it, restarted MyImgur and no luck…. drag n drop is not happening.

I started using myImgur a few weeks ago it was all on default… i loved it! I started fiddling around with the shortcuts… noticed not all of them work… then i changed the skin and then the drag n drop upload method stopped working. I just cannot drag n drop pictures to upload, and like the, the software is useless to me. Any quick tip or quick fix?

Hello, so I have been having the same problem for the last few versions of MyImgur in that under no circumstance am I able to log into my account. Every time I try to log in, the pin window opens up, the authorization link opens up in my browser (Chrome), and when I copy the PIN over and accept, I get a notification error: Error during “Initial Login” 200: OK-OK. I have tried over any over again, but nothing seems to work. Is there something I am missing?

hi again! thanks for implementing my previous suggestion 🙂 i found a very small bug: when you press the capture screen shortkey the first time after opening the program/changing a setting, you can’t cancel it with ESC (have to right click). after that it functions as normal. possibly the most minor bug in the world, but it’d be nice to see you fix it for whenever you have the next update planned

So I get this message: Error during “Upload Pic”
404: Request aborted on timeout-Request aborted on timeout.
And it often tells me that I am not logged.
Also, it probably isn’t your concern but I also can’t log with faceboo,twitter nor google+.

I could not for the life of me figure out how to get the g15 applet to work, all I wanted to do was see if I could browse Imgur on my 2nd monitor without tabbing out of WoW

Sorry I was not able to reply back to you till now I was busy moving and didn’t have internet access. I tried a few different things and I eventually found the problem to be with a program I use called Actual Multiple Monitors which gives a multi-monitor taskbar along with other features. But for some reason it seems to be messing with my second monitor region, but as long as I have it closed MyImgur works just like it should no problems at all. But thanks for your help!

Hi, I’ve just started using this application and got a couple of questions to see if it fits my requirements.

1) Images that fail. Does it retry the file until it is uploaded. If not, is there a record kept of the failed file so I can retry it later? The log tells me nothing as both the filename and comments sections are all blank.

2) Will the programme keep the queue stored so, in the event that a restart is required or the app crashes, it can just carry on from the next file after the last successful upload. I noticed at some point the app just closed the queue window and I have no idea if the queue was successful or not. If the queue window also kept the failed upload shown that could be used to retry the uploads, or at least get a readout of them.

These are quite important as trying to track dropped files is a massive annoyance with Imgur but would be a godsend if this app can save that hassle of tracking the dropped uploads. I really need a ‘fire and forget’ programme with the need to host many thousands of files, which makes staring at the progress indicator on Imgur’s website and noting the failed files extremely cumbersome and time consuming. If it can do those then it would be a very useful tool.

Can you try this: click the 3rd button which pops up all your windows/apps in live ~tiles, then select the desktop one and upload it. In my case, it results in all my 3 monitors captured in a single image, in the same order as I see in the settings.

I changed the number 2 monitor to the main monitor and that allowed me to take screenshots on that monitor but caused the same problem on the number 1 monitor. So it seems like it has something to do with not allowing capture monitors that are not the main display or it thinks both monitors are the main monitor since it only capture that monitor.
